Summer Camp

We have something very unique. A workshop that focusses on Logical reasoning and uses it to help children in solving mazes, and puzzles, AND STORY WRITING. What’s more, the stories that come out by the end of the workshop, GET PUBLISHED. 

Age Group: 8/9 TO 12/13 YEAR OLDS. 
Duration: 2 to 4 weeks (max)
Venue: Pikk A Book library, sector 56
Fee: 2500 per week.
Timings: 10 to 1. And one hour of library time, additional.

Classes Start On: 20th May. Monday to Friday. 4 Weeks 
Class Timings: 10 to 1, and 1 to 2 is library time. 
Venue: Pikk-a-Book Library, near Harish Bakery, SCO Market, sector 56 Cost: Rs 2500 per week (Monday to Friday)

 

Here is the broad week wise schedule:


Week 1

Little Einstein Class

– Children learn how to break things down into steps. 
– What goes behind game building,
– Building a maze and programming a robot to solve it.


Story Writing Class

– Elements of story building and plot creation.
– There after children will choose a topic and we will help them build a basic story line. 
 

Week 2:


Little Einstein Class

– Focus on chess moves and how to think 2 steps ahead. 
– They will get a puzzle to solve each day. 
– They learn how to break things into processes and Design thinking


Story Writing Class

– Creating story grids.
– Breaking down characters in each story,
– Sub Plot and Plot Build-up


Week 3

Little Einstein Class

– Logical reasoning puzzles
– Space workshop.
– Advance robotics depending on the kids, if parents permit 

Story Writing

– Filling in the gaps in each story, ensuring it reaches a logical end.
– Refining language and vocabulary. 

Week 4: 

Little Einstein Class

– We are trying to get someone to demonstrate digital printing . If not, we will be focussing on design thinking and drone building. 

Story Writing

– Editing the story. Making it publishable. 
– Honing Presentation Skills and a Final Book Reading Event. 


All Library Time will be focussed on building language and expression while they read books of their choice, across genres. 

The Ecological Crafts class will be a filler to give children a breather. They will be introduced to making paper mache products, and other interesting things.
