Water, Water, Everywhere; Not a Drop to Drink: By Disha Taparia
The day when all taps go dry and there is no source of fresh water, we will all be worried. We won’t have water to drink and bathe. Everyone will rush out in search for fresh water. Water is God’s greatest gift to mankind. It’s time we learn to conserve and preserve water for later use.
Here are some ways we can conserve water:
- Using dishwashers only when they are full.
- Cleaning fruits and vegetables in a bowl instead of cleaning them under running water.
- Using the bucket instead of using the shower.
I would like to conclude that the government should fix how much water a person can consume in a day. We already know that the South African government will not be able to provide water supply in Capetown, from Aptil 16th, 2018. It has said that those who need water will have to approach a grocery shop, where they will get only 20 liters of water per day, and that too for a fixed amount. Some villages in India have also reached a state where trains full of water are sent by the government. We definitely don’t want all of India to reach this state.
